The common saying for everyone is use it or lose it.  This takes on a whole new meaning when we have MS.  Some time we loose it and need to exercise to get is all or some back.  People who have MS need strength, stamina, and flexibility training to make the most of their abilities.

Stimulating brain activity is critical when maintaining and treating MS cognitive function.  Cognition can be maintained and even improved by doing daily puzzels like Sudoko or crosswords.  Some enjoy journaling, blogging, researching, and letter writing.  Taking community enrichment classes is a wonderful opportunity to learn new subjects, hobbies, or reinforce what we knew before.  earning, Writing, Reciting, Volunteering and socializing helps us to interact, be productive, encourage, and maintain our self esteem.
